What Is a Dry Lease?

In commercial aviation, airlines often do not own every aircraft they operate. Instead, they use dry leases — long-term agreements under which the aircraft is provided, while the operator is responsible for insurance, maintenance coordination, hangarage and day-to-day use.

Invictum Aero adapts that same concept to general aviation by helping private pilots and small pilot groups access aircraft in a more flexible and practical way. Whether you are flying alone or together with up to four pilots, the goal is simple: more flying, less waiting, and no need to commit to ownership before you are ready.

A More Flexible Way to Access an Aircraft

Owning an aircraft gives maximum freedom — but also ties you to the full purchase price, administration, maintenance planning and long-term commitment. Traditional rental and flying clubs sit at the other extreme: lower commitment, but limited availability, older aircraft and little control.

Invictum Aero sits between those two models.We help private pilots and small groups secure dedicated access to a modern general aviation aircraft through a 12–24 month dry lease. The aircraft remains owned by Invictum Aero or one of its aircraft entities, while you receive private, predictable access without needing to buy the aircraft yourself.

You fly the aircraft as if it were your own. There is no hourly rental queue, no uncertainty about weekend availability and no need to commit to permanent ownership before you know whether the aircraft truly fits your needs.

How the Dry Lease Works for General Aviation

A dry lease is a medium-term arrangement under which the aircraft is provided to you, while the pilot or pilot group takes responsibility for the operating side of flying.Typically, this includes:your own scheduling and use of the aircraft;arranging or maintaining pilot insurance;paying the direct operating costs of your flying;coordinating normal use, hangarage and routine maintenance with our support.

Unlike a club or rental fleet, the aircraft is dedicated to you or your group. Unlike ownership, you do not need to invest the full purchase price, deal with resale risk or commit for many years.

The model is particularly suited to:pilots flying enough hours that rental becomes frustrating or inefficient;pilots considering ownership but not yet ready to commit;two to four pilots who want to share access and reduce costs;pilots who want a newer, well-maintained aircraft without the complexity of owning one.

The Role of Invictum Aero

Invictum Aero does not simply list aircraft.We structure, source and manage the arrangement around the aircraft so that the process is clear from the beginning.

Depending on the situation, we help with:
- identifying the right aircraft type for your intended use and budget;
- matching individual pilots or small groups with suitable aircraft;
- preparing the dry lease structure and documentation;arranging a practical framework for maintenance, insurance and operation;
- remaining available throughout the lease period if questions or issues arise.

The goal is to provide the flexibility of ownership, but with more structure, less risk and a clear exit path at the end of the lease term.

How to Get Started

1. Complete the enquiry form
Tell us about your flying profile: total flight hours, annual usage, preferred aircraft type, where you would base the aircraft and whether you are applying alone or as part of a group.

2. We review your requirements
We assess whether a dry lease is likely to be suitable and what type of aircraft and lease structure would best match your expected usage.

3. We contact you
After reviewing the information, we will contact you to discuss your requirements in more detail, answer questions and explain what aircraft or options may currently be available.

4. We prepare a proposal
If there appears to be a good fit, we prepare a tailored proposal outlining the aircraft, expected costs, lease term, security deposit and practical next steps.

5. You decide whether to proceed
There is no obligation. The initial discussion is intended to help you understand whether a dry lease is the right step before committing to ownership or another long-term solution.
